Who we are
M.A.D.E. in Fort Wayne is a Christian theater group in Fort Wayne IN. We focus on the experience of the child first and foremost. We believe that theater should be fun and the passion for it should come from a love for the craft and the people around you. We pride ourselves on the community we have built and the memories we make together. With Christ at the center of our lives, and community, we find that it's only natural that there's a purity and joy to the shows we produce.

The heart of M.A.D.E. In Fort Wayne stands in the last letter of the acronym. Ensemble. A group of people with various abilities coming together to create a show. Specifically young people. They wanted to prove that a teenager (or young adult), given the right tools, was just as capable as the adults in the industry. They wanted to provide an environment where kids could come and Display their own abilities while also showing they could be professional and mature in the process.

Our
Story
In the early summer of 2023
then Choreographer and Costume Designer Shiloh Petersen reached out to then Director Jillian Hanson with a random idea. "How would you feel about putting together a show with me?" Thus started 12 months of prep, marketing, building connections and setting the stage for M.A.D.E.'s first summer camp, The Maidservant. The camp was such a success that Shiloh decided to continue the camps, leading to today!

The idea originally came to Shiloh when she noticed that being a teenager/young adult in the arts community was difficult. Nobody seemed to to take her seriously because she was young. When producing The Maidservant, the heart of the show became, "You can do anything you set your mind to, even if you're young." The sentiment has remained to this day.
